CRE Auctions Get Their Moment In The Sun. Will It Last?

Real estate auctions in the U.S. have long been considered a domain of bank foreclosures and little else, but as the coronavirus pandemic increases the need for online transactions and foreclosure auctions it has also started to encourage more people to see them as a legitimate way to buy and sell commercial real estate. Courtesy of Acuitus An Acuitus auction in the UK, where commercial real estate auctions are more widespread. Greater transparency, advances in technology and people’s desire to transact quickly are all pushing investors to opt for auctions, particularly as stress ripples through the market as the crisis wears on, proponents say. Short supply of stabilized assets for sale also means more people will look to buy via public bids, sources said.

Castletown NS's festive run raises a fantastic €3,000 for worthy cause

Pupils from sixth class at Scoil Ghormáin Naofa have raised over €3,000 for a worthy cause. Ms Ní Shuilleabháin s sixth class laced up their runners to complete a Santa Dash on Friday for St Vincent de Paul. The sixth class pupils were given a great send off, with class bubbles cheering them on with a Christmas disco in the yard. The children received motivational words from two local gardaí, with the garda car siren heralding the start of the run. First across the finish line were Niall Kavanagh and Mark O Donnell. Each child crossed the ribbon at the finish and they were all presented with a medal and certificate by deputy principal Anne Gilmartin Ryan. They then enjoyed a hot lunch provided by two generous parents.
