Oak Ridge Students Fill Shoeboxes To Help The Community

Students at the Oak Ridge School are lending a helping hand to community members in need, one goody-filled shoebox at a time. The 6th grade student council came up with the idea and has involved the entire school in its efforts by assigning a different theme and recipient for each grade. Third graders are collecting fun and craft items such as Mad Libs, puzzles, small LEGO sets, and crossword puzzles that will go to the Angel House Family Shelter in Hyannis and families in need living in town. The 4th grade class is responsible for collecting pet items like food bowls, toys and treats, litter and collars to be sent to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty for Animals.
