the british royal insists he never witnessed or suspected any t criminal behavior by epstein after footage surfaced showing him inside his estate in 2010. reporter: this is the second statement in just a few days from the royal palace. what s different about the statement is it s from prince andrew himself and how long it is. he talks about that you never saw a witness or suspected any of the behavior. i ll read part of this statement. i see it said previously it was a mistake and an error to see him after his release in 2010. i can only reiterate that what i thought of him was not the real person. given what we now know. but alisyn, there are still several questions about this as you noted. we saw that video of prince andrew in epstein s mansion in new york in 2010. also there s more questions about the extent of the rich, how well they knew each other. prince andrew said they only saw
each other once or twice a year after meeting in 1999. but there are other elements here. prince andrew s ex-wife admitted that epstein helped her pay off some of her debts. what else we don t know is why prince andrew thought it was still a good idea to associate with epstein in 2010 and 2011 even after he d been convicted of sex crimes. lawyers for some of epstein s accusers have asked prince andrew to come forward with any more information. clearly this is not the last we ve heard from prince andrew on the subject. thank you very much. the timeline there is hugely problematic, i think, for the prince. a lot of it is. we are monitoring live remarks from the president of the united states. he said a number of contradictory things over the last few days about trade talks with china. we re trying to figure out where he stands this morning. back to you right after this.
if you all know, briefly scour the twitter feed. andrew brought up a good point. as these individuals are looking to recover their dignity, the united states has to go through another phase to recover global standing. what you ve seen at the g7 is you have two going on right now. you have the one in the president s head and the one actually going on. he s more like a g1. he s not a g. that twalt is true. not a g. when you look at the machinations of macron. donald trump is completely surprised. and even more telling for those of us. and this ironically is not a democrat or republican issue.
