amy: good morning, new hampshire, 6:00 on this sunday, september 11th. i m amy coveno. we ll get to the top stories in just a minute. first, josh judge is in the weather center with a look at the forecast. josh: good morning, happy sunday. it s a bit of a warm start, hooksett at 70 degrees and we ve got mainly cloudy skies out there. it s warm and humid and that s how we start our day, but it will end very differently. 60 s in the north country and parts of we had a couple of downpours already roll through northern new hampshire. take a look at the line of thunderstorms in the west and that will be moving across the state throughout the morning hours from west to east like this and by about mid day to early afternoon, they will exit the state and sunshine along with high pressure will be building on in. so, a very changeable day, starting off with clouds, humidity and warmth and some it will turn windy this afternoon. be ready for that. and we ll have more detail, as well as
a vigil was held here on 9/11 to honor all of them. i am looking at 11 years that he has been gone and it seems like yesterday. sergeant michael kelly decided to join the national guard right after 9/11. he was in afghanistan for 69 days and was killed in an attack . reporter: he was just 26 years old. as far as memorial day and all that sort of thing goes, every day is memorial for us. there is not a day that we don t think about him and what he stood for. in our eyes, we are proud of him. he is a hero. reporter: sergeant kelly was the third oldest of four. he was the funniest guy. he was great. he had the best sense of humor. reporter: the kelly s are now a gold star family, honored for their loved one s sacrifice. they joined dozens in the sacrifice.
