Food, entertainment, a luxury harbor cruise and more awaited the 300 guests from Camp Pendleton who attended the 13th annual event held in Newport Beach on Super Bowl Sunday.
The parade began sometime in the 1950s and was first known as the Newport Harbor Character Boat Parade. This July 4 the country's founding fathers will be celebrated.
The Great Park, which city officials estimate will cost $1 billion to complete, is set to see 300 acres of new development during the next phase, including a veterans memorial park, a library and a permanent amphitheater.
