Bagger Racing Kicks Off in June with Burnouts, Drifting and Wheelies

autoevolution 8 May 2021, 7:05 UTC · by The immense success MotoAmerica’s King of the Baggers competition seems to have has inspired others into creating other, perhaps even more exciting such events. The most recent is the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association’s (AHRMA) annuncement for a new bagger class. 1 photo But there’s an even bigger, more important such event coming our way: the Bagger Racing League (BRL). The series is scheduled to kick off in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 25, with the Drag Specialities Battle of the Baggers. Unlike King of the Baggers, which comes as a single race part of a larger weekend event, BRL is solely dedicated to baggers. Most importantly, with a little more than a month left until the start of the season, the organizers have announced the rules and regulations, but also the officials who will be overseeing the whole show.

Harley-Davidson and Indian Baggers to Go After Each Other in New Race

Harley-Davidson and Indian Baggers to Go After Each Other in New Race 15 Apr 2021, 9:28 UTC · by Last year, 11 Harley-Davidson motorcycles were pitted against just two Indian Challengers at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca track. For the first time, such motorcycles were allowed to race there, and the feeling everyone got when seeing the two-wheelers chase each other was so intense that 2020 s single race is now an entire series. 1 photo Although tiny in size (just three races last time we checked, down from the initial five announced at the beginning of the year), the so-called King of the Baggers is a MotoAmerica event, open to all qualified AMA license holders. But it will not be the only competition where we’ll get to see such bikes racing in the coming months.

The Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering at Sevier County Fairgrounds

SEVIERVILLE A beautiful 1941 Harley Davidson may be the oldest motorcycle at The Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering at the Sevier County Fairgrounds this weekend, but there are other vintage bikes turning the heads of enthusiasts as well. From a Norton, which is a British racing bike, to a NSU, a German bike not commonly found in America, vintage motorcycle fans had much to appreciate on Friday. The gathering is also open today, Saturday, April 10; gates open at 8 a.m. “These are the bikes we had or wanted when we were kids,” said Pat Deason, one of the organizers of the event.
