announcer: this week on q&a. former assistant u.s. attorney ron liebman and tim baker, who were part of the prosecution team that brought down vice president spiro agnew in 1973. brian: ron liebman, when did you first meet spiro agnew? ron: i never actually met spiro agnew. i had seen spiro agnew twice in my life. the first time was october 10, 973, sitting next to tim baker and barney skolnik in a federal court when he went to plead no contest for a felony pair the second time i saw him was a few days later. there s a restaurant in baltimore, everybody ate there. and i was sitting there with my young bride at a table for two, facing each other, and i looked up, and coming towards me from the back room having had his own dinner, spiro agnew and his wife and some security. i was trying to get my wife s attention. she was saying, are you all right? and agnew walked up to me, stopped, looked at me, and passed. and those are the only times i ve ever seen him. brian: you thi
