Clemson Rowing Announces 2024 Spring Schedule

CLEMSON, S.C. - Head Coach Stephen Fazier Wong and the Clemson Rowing program announced Wednesday its 2024 Spring Schedule. Joining Head Coach Stephen Frazier Wong, Associate Head Coach Ted Nagorsen, Assistant Coach Mandy Merritt, and Graduate Assistant Coach Ciera Devenuto-Wyeth this season is recently hired Assistant Coach Amy Hildebrandt.  Leading the Tigers this season are captains Caroline Emerson and Kristen Dutkin. Julia Walsh, Amelia Anglin and Abby Dutton join Emerson and Dutkin to make up the 2023-2024 Leadership Council.  The Tigers enter the 2024 Spring Season following a successful fall season where they raced in the Head of the Oklahoma and the Secret City Head Race. At the Head of the Oklahoma, Clemson’s Varsity Eights took home first place and its Novice 8+ defeated all four Tennessee boats to win first place at the Secret City Head Race.  Clemson will open its spring season with two home races on Lake Hartwell, starting with the Carolina Cup on Saturday, March 2nd

Clemson Rowing Announces 2023 Fall Schedule

Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson Rowing program officially announced their fall regatta schedule on Thursday. The Tigers are led by Head Coach Stephen Frazier Wong for the 10th season.  Both of the regattas that Clemson will row in this fall will be on the road. To kickoff their fall season, the Tigers will travel to Oklahoma City to compete in the Oklahoma Rowing Festival and Night Springs September 29 through October 1. Soon after that, Clemson will row in the Secret City Head Race at Oak Ride, Tennessee on October 13 and 14 to conclude their fall campaign.  The team’s 2023-24 Leadership Council features Amelia Anglin, Kristen Dutkin, Abby Dutton, Caroline Emerson and Julia Walsh with Dutkin and Emerson being named team captains.  For complete coverage of the Clemson Rowing team follow @ClemsonRowing on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Clemson Concludes Head of the Charles

Boston, MA. – Clemson wrapped up their two days of competition at Head of the Charles this Sunday. The Tiger’s raced in the Women’s Club Four on Saturday and the Women’s Championship Eight Sunday. The Clemson Tiger’s trip started off Saturday afternoon with the Women’s Club Fours. The line-up for the race was as follows: Jaysen Hall at stroke, Emma Randolph, Claudia Scherbin, Caroline Emerson at bow, and Salma Shaalan as coxswain. While the boat originally placed fourth, they were later disqualified from the race by the officials. Next, Clemson raced in the Women’s Championship Eights on Sunday. The line-up for this race was as follows: Christina Minyo at coxswain, Anna Luttrell at stroke, Lori Belanger, Isabel Velasquez, Rachel Twitty, Amelia Rinehart, Amelia Anglin, Emerey Sampson, and Hannah Hayes at bow. The Tigers would place 24th. “It was great to take the Tigers back to Boston and the Head of the Charles after a few years away from this race” said Head Coach
