Residents of Whitney Pier, in Cape Breton, are wary of the Nova Scotia government's plan to locate 30 single-unit pallet shelters for unhoused people in the community.
Thirty shelters built by Pallet will be delivered to Sydney, N.S., by the end of January, according to an organization staffing the facilities. The location will also include separate shower and washroom facilities and staff who can assist residents.
