The Angelo State University chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society on March 25 inducted 24 new members during a virtual ceremony.
According to their website, the Alpha Chi National Honor Society is a coeducational honor society founded in 1922 to promote and recognize academic excellence among college students of any discipline. Additionally, it seeks to encourage a spirit of service and leadership and to nurture the elements of character that make scholarship effective for good.
“It’s not for self-glorification, it’s . . . owning what you’ve done.” Dr. Karl Havlak, the lead faculty advisor for the ASU chapter and secretary for the organization’s national council, said.
