Allegany County Solid Waste fees increasing in 2021

BELMONT The Allegany County Board of Legislators closed the book on 2020 Monday, passing around 20 resolutions to end the year.
Among them, the board passed updated fees for users of the Allegany County Solid Waste System effective Jan. 1. Rates were increased across the board for 2021 as Allegany County aligns fees closer to those established at neighboring counties.
Rate increases
Replacement Tag for Lost/Stolen Tag $100 to $125
Passenger tires up to 19” $2.50 to $4
Tires up to 24” $200/ton to $250/ton
Freon Containing Appliances (landfill only) $10 to $15
Construction & Demolition Debris To Be Included in Per Ton Fee

CUBA The Town and Village of Cuba are always up to something good for the benefit of their community residents, and this year is no different.
Working with the Allegany County Office of Planning, at the beginning of 2020 Cuba created a Comprehensive Plan Committee to develop a Plan that will be used to benefit the residents of the community. As a result of that effort, the draft plan is currently being offered for public review and comment.
