Rita town to Catbalogan City in Samar province, which has been damaged in the past two decades. In a statement, DPWH Region 8 director Allan Borromeo said the PHP19.2-million project involves the construction of a 450-meter suspended deck slab and 80-meter walkway of the monumental landmark in the province of Leyte. Landscaping works have also been conducted to complement the new tourist attraction. A storage room was also constructed for the solar generator that will be used to lessen its maintenance costs and energy consumption.
