With overseas waves off limits and a crucial competition on hold, all that Tai Jennison and a group of the Coastâs best young surfers needed was some swell.
Lucky for them, Mother Nature delivered, turning the region into a winter wonderland for boardriders.
Mr Jennison, an Alexandra Headland-based filmmaker, joined local surfers and Qualifying Series Tour hopefuls Alister Reginato, Noah Stocca and Cooper Davies to shoot a 20-minute short film showcasing the region at its barrelling best.
âIt was one of the better winters weâve seen,â Mr Jennison said.
