Residents were warned to be careful of dangerous fast flowing and deep floodwaters after an astonishing 16 inches of rain fell on Cumbria since Wednesday morning.
At least three people were on their boards on a usually calm stretch of the River Cleddau, near the town of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, when they were hit by a huge deluge of flood water.
