Evolved into i guess you could call a high stakes game of chicken between House Speaker nancy pelosi and Senate Majority leader Mitch Mcconnell. 11 days after President Trumps impeachment, theres still no firm answer as to whats actually going to happen next. Now, Speaker Pelosi says she wants to ensure the senate holds a fair trial and wont submit the articles of impeachment until mcconnell lays out an acceptable path forward. Mcconnell already believes he has done just that. As for President Trump, well, hes infuriated by the delay. Shes doing a tremendous disservice to the country and shes not doing a good job. And some people think that she doesnt know what shes doing. A lot of people think that, a lot of people have said it. Were in a very good position. Ultimately that decision is going
i mean, look, i think part of what trump has benefitted from is the republican cowardice. so many republicans have refused to go against him, have refused to challenge his version of reality, that a schism has grown. and you saw this last week with alise stefanik saying they were hostages, these january 6th rioters. right. so, i think that is a real problem. and i think some group of trump supporters have tipped into a kind of earth to reality, which i m not entirely sure how you get those people back to earth one. yeah. all right. we ll see. anna, paul, molly, thanks so much. we ll all be watching tomorrow. thanks again. appreciate it. still ahead, former iowa republican governor terry bran stad joins us live. there he is right there. he s an expert on everything about iowa politics, very popular governor in the state. and also served under former president trump. we ll ask him what he thinks about what s going to happen tomorrow night. stay with us. you re live in the cnn

steve? my nice list is bernie sanders. somebody that i don t agree with very often. don t agree with on anything. i like the fact that he s run a spirited campaign, built on grassroots, he s raised a lot of money, he says the things that he believes. he is saying these things as a socialist. which i think presents interesting questions for the democrats. he s making an argument that i think is an authentic argument, missing in our politics. democratic representative joe kennedy iii and republican freshman alise stefanik of new york. got to know both of them through harvard institute of politics, they reflect the rising generation of millennials who are generally can had done, practicing natic. less ideological. more tolerant than their parents generation. the kind of politicians, especially with the radical connectivity of the internet. that can reform the way we run our campaigns and government. i put nikki haley on the nice
