Share Updated: 12:12 PM EDT May 8, 2021 WLKY Digital Team The woman killed in a crash near Cherokee Park on Friday has been identified by the coroner.According to Louisville Metro Police, Alexis Sabatino was driving on Cherokee Road near the traffic circle around 7 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, she lost control of the car and hit a tree on the side of the road.The 26-year-old died at the scene. Sabatino was the one person inside the car when it crashed.Officials say LMPD s traffic unit is handling the investigation.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. According to a release from the Jefferson County Coroner s Office, a woman involved in a fatal Bonnycastle neighborhood car crash has been identified.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Cherokee Road.
The Louisville Metro Police Department s (LMPD) preliminary investigation revealed 26-year-old Alexis Sabatino struck a tree on the side of the road after losing control of the car.
