A local organization and middle school students worked to donate 50 blankets to a local hospital.
For two years, an after-school program at the Albert Gallatin South Middle School has been assembling blankets with âBunnyâs Blanket Buddies.â
The name of that project is part of the Hunter K. Braddee Helping Heroes Foundation, which was created after 4-year-old Hunter Braddee lost his life in a vehicle accident in 2019.
âHunterâs nickname was âBunnyâ,â said Sherry Williams, the director and treasurer of the foundation.
She said Braddeeâs mother, Amber Gibbs, works at the after-school program at the middle school where one of the components of the program is community service.

Districts are required to submit their misconduct reports, both criminal and academic infractions, to the state every year. Reporting sometimes changes from year-to-year, but no changes were made last school year.
Last year, the top three criminal reasons why students were in trouble statewide were:
Possession, use, or sale of tobacco or vaping 8.34 percent
Fighting 8.14 percent
Minor altercation 5.42 percent
