Bond made her first career stakes victory look easy Friday (Aug. 12) at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, jogging to a 3-1/2-length triumph in a $147,668 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes. Uno Mas Blue Chip took the other division in the event, known as the Delmonica Hanover, for freshman filly trotters.
Three-year-old trotters Justice and Misswalner Fashion picked up consolation wins for their connections on Hambletonian Day, taking divisions of the Muscle Hill and Continentalvictory Stakes.
If either of last week’s MGM Yonkers Trot elimination winners, the filly Joviality S or the colt Justice, is going to capture Friday’s $280,904 final at Yonkers Raceway, they will have to overcome not only their rivals, but difficult starting spots.
