As we just said, a Government Shutdown is imminent. Less than 41 hours left on the clock. No final plan but trying to secure a plan. Speaker Kevin Mccarthy trying to hold a lastditch vote on a stopgap to keep the government moving temporarily. But cant get it through the senate or white house and a serious tlhreat of losing this job. At this point, they dont think they have votes at all. Why a shutdown matters for you. Nearly 4 million federal employees wont be paid. Including more than a million active duty troops, Essential Workers keep working but wont be paid. Others furloughed. The white house warns a shutdown to lead to huge Travel Delays and training for desperately needed air Traff
