JUI-F expels four rebels
LAHORE/DI KHAN: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Friday expelled its senior party leader Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani and others after he called Fazlur Rehman selected .
Following a meeting of the JUI-F, Maulana Sherani, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan, and Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk were expelled from the party, sources said, says media reports.
The decision was unanimously taken by the committee members Agha Ayub Shah, Maulana Abdul Wasay and Maulana Abdul Hakeem. A notification in this regard will be issued soon, the sources added.
The party s working committee unanimously decided on the recommendations of the disciplinary committee. The party s central executive affirmed the decision. Sources said the decision was open to reversal if the rebels apologised.

ISLAMABAD: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) on Friday announced termination of the basic membership of four senior party leaders for deviating from party policies, with all JUI-F workers being warned against making any contact with them.
While announcing the decisions that the party’s disciplinary committee took on Thursday, JUI-F central spokesman Mohammad Aslam Ghori said the basic membership of former chairman Council of Islamic Ideology Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani, former senator Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, both belonging to Balochistan; and Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan hailing from Dir and Maulana Shujaul Mulk from Mardan had been terminated.

The cracks within the JU-F – the country’s largest politico-religious party – deepened on Friday as the party’s leadership expelled four of its senior members for “deviating from the party policy” and for “creating party within the party”.
The JUI-F disciplinary committee took action against Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan and Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk.
According to a party spokesperson, the four leaders were expelled over violating the party discipline. “The committee members – Agha Ayub Shah, Maulana Abdul Wasi, Maulana Abdul Hakim Akbari and others – unanimously took this decision,” the spokesperson added.
