Cumbria’s flood risk manager says peak river levels have now been reached on the main county rivers.
Stewart Mounsey has given an update on the latest situation after heavy rainfall in the last couple of days.
He tweeted: “Blue skies this morning and peaks have now gone through on bigger rivers but lakes are still high.
“The next 6-10 days are looking dry. Environment Agency North West teams will be making sure all flood defences are okay for next time and we will do a review of our response so we continually improve.”
