REDDING, Calif. – Two people were sent to the hospital for moderate injuries after a rollover collision in Redding Tuesday.
It happened around 11:44 a.m. on North Market Street at Benton Drive. Redding Police officers said the collision blocked both northbound and southbound lanes of North Market Street while they investigated the scene.
Based on witness statements, officers said 69-year-old Michael Abrams was traveling southbound on North Market Street when he made a U-turn at Benton Drive. After Abrams made the U-turn, he accelerated and lost control of his blue 2002 Chevy Silverado. Abrams struck the raised center median, causing his vehicle to roll over and enter the southbound lanes of traffic.
