The British Government has authorised the Border Force to turn back small boats carrying migrants across the English Channel from france. It marks a new approach by the Home Secretary, priti patel. Up to this point, migrants found in English Waters have been brought back to the Uk Mainland to be processed. She has also threatened to withold £54 mllion of funding which the uk pays to france to patrol their side of the channel.
