The Ekiti Government says it will recover N1 billion debt owed by some of the beneficiaries of the state housing estates.
Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State made this known while receiving the report of the Judicial Panel of inquiry on land and related matters in the state.
The governor said the money will be recovered before the end of his second term in October 2022.
“We will reverse the impunity that has characterised land administration in the State.
“We are disturbed by the level of corruption, poor record keeping and lack of transparency that characterised the allocation of lands in the state,” he said.

Surfing the internet for beneficial purposes on the night of the 10th of March 2021, I ran into a newspaper report from a press conference done by Leonard Ezenwa, which read “AAC disowns Sowore as its chair, Accuses him of impersonation”, published in the Vanguard Newspaper. I read through the supposed reportorial which must needs be balanced, but all I could find after the few words by way of introduction, is a published outburst of offensive of Leonard Ezenwa, all through to the end, aimed at Sowore. Man bags life imprisonment for rape

An Ado Ekiti High Court has sentenced one Farotimi Samuel 27 to life imprisonment for conspiracy and rape.
In her testimony the victim said, she went to buy garri and sugar, while on her way home, she was waylaid by 3 men, who covered her mouth and later took to her an uncompleted building where they all had sex with her adding that she can recognised the accused person among them.
According to the charge sheet, the act was committed on or about the 29/01/2018 at oke-ureje, Federal Polytechnic road, Ado Ekiti, the accused conspired with others at large to rape a 14yr old girl, contrary to sections 516 of the Criminal code, 31 of the Child Right Law, Cap C16 and C7, laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
