Over the course of the year, Gulf Shores Elementary School has been involved in a project to recreate hallways into Ecosystems. The art in the hallways was dated and needed a fresh idea that would also tie into Gulf Shores City Schools’ vision and core values.
Gulf Shores Elementary began this project by ordering books related to each Ecosystem so that students could learn about the Ecosystems and do research to help with ideas. Then groups of teachers began to meet to collaborate and make plans for decorating these hallways. Over Christmas holidays, the walls were repainted with base coats decided on by teachers. ....
