COLUMBIA After being swept in the regular season and held to just two runs in each game, No. 6 seed William Woods softball (20-25) finally found its offensive legs against No. 3 seed Williams Baptist (33-16), winning 4-1 in an 11-inning marathon in the American Midwest Conference Tournament first round Tuesday at Antimi Softball Complex.
FULTON Despite scoring first in both games of the doubleheader, Willliam Woods softball (17-24, 7-8 American Midwest Conference) wasn t able to hold on to wins against Williams Baptist (29-13, 12-2), falling 3-2 and 4-2 on Friday afternoon.
OTTAWA, Kan. Rylee Hagens went 3-4 with one RBI across the doubleheader for William Woods (4-5), but the Owls dropped both games to No. 17 Ottawa University, 8-0 (six innings) and 3-2 on Saturday.
