Flooding: Nigerian Meteorological Agency Blames State Governments For Not Relocating People In Time After Warnings

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has blamed some state governments for the high impact of the recent flood crisis that killed thousands of Nigerians.   NiMet asserted that some state governments did not relocate people on time to high grounds after they were adequately and timely warned about the impending crisis.  

BREAKING: Motorists, Travellers Stranded As Heavy Rain Floods Adamawa-Borno Highway

The highway linking Adamawa and Borno states has been flooded, leaving hundreds of travellers and motorists stranded.     SaharaReporters learnt that an early morning downpour on Monday flooded a major culvert around Mararaban-Daware, between Girei and Jabbilamba towns, forcing travellers to abandon their trips.       Our correspondent who visited the area saw stranded travellers in their hundreds and long queues of vehicles on both sides of the flooded area.
