and from the east coast to the west americans are waking up on this sunday september 11th a day the country remembers thousands of lives lost ten years ago. good morning, everyone. welcome to mornings on 2 i m mike mibach. and i m claudine wong. events memorializing the victims of 9/11 are being held across the country. including in san francisco where a remembrance ceremony is getting under way to remember firefighters. reporter: the ceremony just got under way here. we are outside of fire station 13 right on ocean avenue. they have just unfolded a flag here. you can see members of the san francisco fire department taking part in this ceremony. they want to time this out very carefully so at 6:59 they sounded three chimes to signal the exact time that the south tower of the world trade center collapsed. and in just a few moment trace be ringing the last alarm and then they will be lowering the flags here to half staff. this is a ceremony taking place here. the chie ....
