frankly, rev, we need to actually standardize elections in this country in terms of standards for how people can qualify for and take part in our elections. i think that all of these state various state requirements, you know, have the effect of actually suppressing the vote. we know that in washington state in texas and other places around the country, that african-americans and people of color generally and women are having, you know, disproportionately negative effects in terms of their ability to cast their ballots. and so we need to, you know, do what is necessary at the federal level, but we also need to make sure that these studies continue to come out and that we challenge the rules that are undermining the ability of people to vote freely and fairly in american elections in this country. david, there is an incident in tennessee, memphis activist
