Mzuzu Muslim Jamat Vision 2020 which is under Muslim Association of Malawi (Mam) has donated a K5 million two-tone Toyota Canter Lorry to Mam -North.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony of the vehicle, Chairperson for Mzuzu Muslim Jamat Vision 2020, Abdurfashed Phokoso said the vehicle will ease mobility among members of Mam North.
“Mam North has been facing a lot of challenges, especially during funerals and they were forced to hire vehicles during funerals which cost them a lot,” said Phokoso.
He said it took a short period for Muslims to heartily contribute towards the buying of the vehicle.
“I did not expect such commitment from the members towards this initiative. This is evidence enough to explain that they were indeed concerned with the challenges Man-North was experiencing,” he said. ....
