The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three of five suspects linked to the kidnap of two businessmen in Gombi Local Government Area of the state.
The command said on Monday that it effected the arrest during the weekend, on Saturday, February 27, and the suspects have been found to be the ones who kidnapped Ali Ahmadu and Alhaji Guruza of Antasa and Balhona villages in Gombi LGA sometime in November last year.
“The suspects were apprehended at their various hideouts in Gombi town following credible information and intense search by the Police and Pulaku Vigilantes team of Gombi Division,” the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state, DSP Suleiman Nguroje said in a statement.

A number of persons were reportedly injured on Monday afternoon when the car they were travelling in collided with an articulated vehicle at the LAMECO Roundabout, Service Area in Osogbo.
According to reports, the cause of the accident could not be ascertained but the articulated vehicle conveying a bulldozer crushed the car beyond recognition.
As at the time DAILY POST got to the scene of the accident, the passengers in the car who sustained various degrees of injuries had been rushed to a hospital within Osogbo.
Eyewitnesses said the accident was caused by the carelessness of both drivers as none of them wanted to give the right of way to the other.

Four suspects have been arrested by Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly igniting a clash in Kurmi village of Ningi LGA while properties worth millions of naira were destroyed including motorcycles.
Meanwhile, a joint operation by men of Bauchi State Police Command and military, on Saturday, averted what would have been a bloody clash between the community of Kurmi village in Burra district of Ningi LGA when youths of the village and some people who are illegally felling trees for wood in the Burra forest.
