However, these people have to face numerous issues and are forced to stand in long queues. Also, the Nadra office is not spacious and is understaffed. As a result, people from other areas need to stay in Turbat for at least two to three days. The government should consider setting up more branches in other tehsils so that people can get their ID cards made in a convenient manner.

Mairaj, an employee of the National Database and Registration Authority, was produced before the court. The investigation officer stated that Mairaj works in NADRA’s data entry department. The accused uses mobile numbers registered with the regulatory body to contact women and send illicit content to them, said the IO. Following which, the court sent Mairaj to jail on judicial remand and sought the case challan from the IO in two weeks.
