After a more than six-hour standoff with Chatham County and Savannah Police SWAT teams, a man died from an unknown medical issue. GBI has been called in to investigate.
Authorities told The Savannah Morning News that one of the boats was carrying six people and the other had three aboard when they collided around 10:30 a.m. on the Wilmington River.
