hold 2024 republican candidates feet to the fire and try to force them to take a stance on this issue, which again we really haven t seen with a lot of candidates running for president. they ve been very reluctant to clearly lay out whether there s a federal rule for this, where they see there should be a ban or things of that nature. by all accounts polling suggests abortion was a very beneficial issue for democrats in 2022. certainly the white house thinks it will be again next year. could it be republicans are doing something that could hurt their chances at the ballot box next year? i think that s what they re trying to weigh right now, and that s the reason you see so few of the 2024 republican candidates taking a clear stance. one of the prime examples that i think of is tim scott when he first launched his exploratory
