GANANOQUE – The 1,000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce held its annual business and awards gala on November 26. Due to COVID-19, the affair was virtual and conducted online.
“In March, when we were blocked by the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a lot of uncertainty as we saw the province shut down,” Amber Scott, president of the 1,000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce, said. “And while there’s still a lot of questions about what the future will look like, we are so incredibly proud of this community who rallied around our vulnerable members and our small businesses. We had a fantastic list of nominees from all across industries and backgrounds. On behalf of the chamber, I want to first say congratulations to the nominees on your nominations and second to say thank you for your hard work and dedication to this community that we all love.” ....
