Hannibal Man Charged with Burglary of Becky Thatcher Diner

Hannibal Police responded to a report of a break-in at the Becky Thatcher Diner on North 3rd at 5:13 a.m. Thursday.
Officers learned that an employee came to work at the diner and found 34 year old Brian Griggs of Hannibal laying naked on the floor of the diner, under insulation from the ceiling.
Griggs had allegedly forced entry into the business and caused extensive damage. He was taken into custody without incident.
A warrant was issued Thursday afternoon charging Griggs with burglary. He is in the Marion County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Hannibal Police used a tire deflation device to stop the vehicle. Police say the driver 33 year old Steven Snyder fled on foot and was apprehended after a brief pursuit. Officers say Snyder was found in possession of a large quantity of a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
