Youth dies as factory wall collapses Rescue 1122 personnel pulled victims out of the rubble A Reuters representational image KURIANWALA: A young worker was killed when the wall of a cotton factory collapsed in Khurrianwala area on Wednesday. Rescue 1122 officials said that 19-year-old Wasim Allah Dutta and 21-year-old Saleem, the son of Zafar Hussain, were working at the cotton factory when the wall collapsed over them. The victims were trapped under the rubble. A Rescue 1122, on receiving information, reached the accident site where Wasim succumbed to this injuries while his colleague was severely injured when he came under the debris. Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the injured to the hospital after providing medical treatment. ....
Karachi University Conducting MBBS & BDS Exam for KMDC Students After 2 Years Karachi University’s Examinations Department has begun conducting the MBBS and BDS annual examinations 2019 for the students of the Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) after two years delay. The KMDC is the only medical college affiliated with KU. However, the university had not conducted MBBS and BDS exams since 2019. Students say that they had repeatedly approached the varsity administration to resolve the issue but to no avail. BEIJING, Dec. 28 (China Economic Net) - Pakistani Ambassador to China, H.E.Moin ul Haque said on Monday that it was imperative for media organizations and opinion-makers of China and Pakistan to devise a concerted and sustained media strategy to expose ill intentions of adversaries and highlight success and significance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He expressed these views while addressing the 6th CPEC Media Forum hosted and organized by the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, China-Economic Net, and Pakistan China Institute.
Ambassador Haque said that despite the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)’s universal success and CPEC’s visible and tangible dividends for Pakistan, some voices in certain countries have taken a highly prejudiced view of CPEC to undermine its accomplishments and obfuscate its future possibilities and expansion and they resort to wishful distortion of facts and fabrication of lies. ....
