On Jan. 20, Wales announced everyone in the CHSLD branch had received the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. According to the Équipe de Santé Publique de l’Estrie, residents in private residences were next in line once doses started coming in. With the existing shortage in vaccines, however, residents were skeptical things would return to normal before the fall. Brendalee Piironen, executive director at Wales Home, admitted she had mentally prepared herself and the residents to only be vaccinated in March – so, the news came as a pleasant surprise. ....
