U18s Play-Off Place Confirmed Sunday, 25th Apr 2021 17:29 Town’s U18s have secured a place in the Professional Development League Two play-offs, despite yesterday’s 4-2 loss at Birmingham. Charlton had already confirmed their spot and the Blues now can’t be caught by third-placed Millwall or Watford in fourth. The top two sides in Professional Development League Two South meet their counterparts from the North division where Birmingham where Wigan currently lead Sheffield United but with the Midlanders having games in hand on the top two. Town s U18s, who are coached by Adem Atay and Jason Dozzell, are in FA Youth Cup quarter-final action on Friday when they host the Blades at Portman Road (KO 5pm). ....
U21s Face Millwall in Final Game Monday, 25th Apr 2016 09:23 Town’s U21s face Millwall in the final game of their Professional Development League Two South season at Playford Road this afternoon (KO 1pm). Mark Kennedy’s side could climb to a final finishing position of sixth depending on their result and how QPR fare when they host Colchester this evening. Millwall are currently second and they would confirm their place in the end-of-season play-offs if they at least match Cardiff s result in their game at home to Crystal Palace. Teddy Bishop, who played the full 90 minutes at Bramall Lane last week before coming on as a sub for the first team at Middlesbrough on Saturday, could again be involved alongside the likes of Andre Dozzell, Adam McDonnell, Myles Kenlock and Josh Emmanuel. ....
U23s Face Coventry in Final Game Monday, 24th Apr 2017 11:52 Adam McDonnell, Michael Crowe and Ben Morris will be in a young U23s side facing Coventry City in their final game of the season at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm). No senior players will be in Gerard Nash’s squad as they look to end their campaign by recording successive victories, having beaten Millwall 2-1 away in their last outing. The young Blues are currently sixth in the Professional Development League Two South table but could climb above the Sky Blues if they beat them this evening, although the Midlanders still have a game to play following this evening’s match. ....
U23s End Season By Hitting Coventry for Six Monday, 24th Apr 2017 21:39 Town’s U23s ended their Professional Development League Two South season on an emphatic note by thrashing Coventry City 6-0 at Portman Road. Ben Morris and Flynn Downes both scored twice and Adam McDonnell and Ben Folami once each as Gerard Nash’s side dominated from beginning to end. The young Blues made a positive start with Albert Wilton making a break down the right in the opening minute but Sky Blues keeper Corey Addai claimed his low cross at a stretch. In the second minute striker Ben Morris mis-hit a low shot wide from the edge of the area but less than a minute later the England U18 international put the Blues in front. ....
