Langenburg Council discuss rest stop

Town Foreman Jason Poppenheim gave his report to the council. He discussed the training the staff has been doing. The water plant is progressing well with electricians coming next week and equipment is being prepped for spring.
The council moved on to the Council Standing Committee Reports. On the topic of Protective Services, a discussion was had with the MLA, with possible changes coming. Recreation and Culture met with the pool committee and discussed the upgrades such as the rock wall being added to the pool this season. Pool registration will be in early May. Councillor Gosselin applied for a grant for the walking path. Councillor Gosselin attended a library board meeting and updated the rest of the council as to what is going on there. Mayor Johnston presented the council with the new standing committee delegation. Councillor R. Thies made a motion to accept the recommended list; motion carried. ....

The council reviewed the town’s accounts. Councillor Trowell made a motion to accept the town’s accounts; motion carried.
The Bank Reconciliation Report was next to be reviewed by the council. Councillor Burman made a motion to accept the Bank Reconciliation Report as reviewed; motion carried.
The Maintenance Report was next to be reviewed by the council. The Town of Bredenbury Maintenance Foreman presented to answer any questions the council had. The grader was discussed as it is getting older, the gravel truck received an inspection done on it. The fire pump was also discussed as it is being repaired by the foreman. The water and sewer recourse were reviewed as well as a discussion on when to clean the lagoon reservoir. ....

Abuja The Senate has uncovered how the Ministry of Health mismanaged a total sum of N4.6 billion fund that was meant to tackle Ebola scourge in Nigeria.
The Senator Matthew Urhoghide, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Edo South led Senate Committee on Public Accounts is raising the alarm of how the money was spent and sustained the indictment report against the Ministry of Health over the issue due to failure of the officials of the Ministry to explain their own side of the allegation.
The Senate Committee on Public Accounts chaired by Senator Mathew Urhoghide sustained the Auditor General Report against the Ministry of Health after the officials of the Ministry declined the series of invitations of the Committee. ....

Saltcoats Council meets and utilizes Zoom


Mayor Barnhart announced that he will be running for President of the Municipalities of Saskatchewan.
Carrying on, the council reviewed the agenda. Councillor Issel made a motion to accept the amended agenda which was carried.
After a review of the minutes of the last meeting, Councillor Pearson made a motion to accept; the motion carried.
Moving on, the council reviewed the Actions List. After a short discussion, the council moved on with a motion to accept the Action list made by Councillor Buchinski which was carried.
