The London District Catholic school board is undergoing a major human resources shuffle as both its education director and a superintendent retire amid the appointment of three new superintendents.
Education director Linda Staudt and seven-year superintendent Kathy Furlong are retiring this summer, after many years on the job and a year and a half of navigating a pandemic.

School will remain online for the rest of the school year Premier Ford announced Wednesday. To keep COVID-19 numbers down, the province believes keeping kids out of classrooms is what’s best right now, with the hope that by September the kids can return in person learning.
Linda Staudt, the Director of Education for the London Catholic District School Board said that they were hoping that they could go back to in person learning, but they also understand why it has been decided they won’t. Staudt also said that if this short term pain means that by September things are going back to normal, then it would be great. Though they are aware of how difficult it’s been for students. ....

Ontario schools will not resume in-person learning until September

As of Wednesday, that rule is no longer in effect.
But other measures, such as the five-person limit on outdoor gatherings and restrictions on retail and other businesses, remain.
The province is aiming to start reopening the economy later this month with looser rules on businesses and outdoor activities.
Officials say new case numbers are declining, but it’s not time to lift restrictions.
In London and surrounding Middlesex County on Wednesday there were 33 new COVID-19 cases, making it the 10th straight day the new local daily caseload was fewer than 50.
There have been 12,280 local COVID cases throughout the pandemic so far. ....
