No one could have predicted the scope of the pandemic s impact. People lost jobs, students put educational plans on hold, and families did their best to adapt to a new routine we all thought would last a few months at most.
As the months passed, education was hit hard and community colleges, in particular, bore the brunt. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, enrollment at community colleges dropped 10 percent from fall 2019 to fall 2020. ....

Educare West DuPage is a part of a national network of Head Start providers working to ensure more children have access to high-quality early education.

The incident happened in Roselle where everyone who lives in the building escaped unharmed. Fire officials say the fire appears to be an accident, causing a partial roof collapse and floor collapse on the fourth floor. One firefighter and two captains have minor injuries from burns and smoke inhalation. The fire drew several fire departments from across Union County with more than 97 firefighters on the scene. Fire officials say it was especially difficult to put out because the building is old and did not have sprinklers. Red Cross New Jersey is assisting a total of 16 families (37 residents) affected by the fire. ....
