The new road from the A371 to the junction with Russell Road will provide access to the Flowerdown estate and the new Parklands Educate Together Primary School which opened in September. The McCrae Road and Cranwell Road connection from the Locking Parklands site to the link road is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. The newly-opened road is part of the 2km North South Link Road which, when complete, will run from the A371 at Locking to the A370 at West Wick roundabout near Morrisons. ....

(Shutterstock) LAKE COUNTY, IL Traffic delays in Lake County dissipated within hours of a jackknifed semi truck blocking three northbound lanes of I-94 just north of the Illinois-Wisconsin state line. During the closure, traffic was diverted off the highway and onto Russel Road in Lake County. An Illinois Department of Transportation spokesperson confirmed to Patch the interstate reopened some time before 11:30 a.m. Another crash slightly farther north on I-94 also impacted traffic on Tuesday. Another jackknifed semi truck has led to partial lane closures, but the crash was later cleared. ....
