WINNIPEG Winnipeg police are looking for a woman who may have information about a homicide that happened in May 2021. Police said the woman could have relevant information about the death of Stuart Bruce Fritzley, who died on May 25. Officers found Fritzley with serious injuries in the 800 block of Magnus Avenue. He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries. Police said the person investigators are looking for is described as an Indigenous woman in her early to mid-20s. She was wearing a black jacket and dark jeans. The woman was last seen between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on the day Fritzley was killed, in the area of Manitoba Avenue between Sinclair Street and Arlington Street.

WINNIPEG The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating the death of a man Tuesday morning as a homicide. Officers were called to the 800 block of Magnus Avenue for a report of a man with serious injuries. Police administered emergency first aid to the man before he was taken to hospital in critical condition. The man died from his injuries at hospital. His name and age have not been released. No arrests have been made. It is the 11th homicide being investigated by the Winnipeg police in 2021. Winnipeg police were seen securing a scene on Manitoba Avenue in connection with the investigation Tuesday morning, and the forensic identification unit was at the scene.

The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba is investigating an incident that sent three people to the hospital with serious injuries.
A suspect and two police officers required medical care after a police cruiser struck them Saturday morning.
The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) says the two officers in the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue were trying to arrest a suspect who was in a stopped taxi. The Winnipeg Police Service says this is part of a drug investigation.
The male suspect then fled the taxi on foot at 10:54 a.m. While chasing the man, they were all hit by a police vehicle that was being driven by a third police officer.
