IWD – held since the 1900s – was formalized in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1911. In 1977, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution inviting member states to proclaim March 8 as the UN Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. McKamey Animal Center Will Operate By Appointment Only Starting Jan. 1 Wednesday, December 16, 2020 The McKamey Animal Center will operate by appointment only starting Jan. 1. Officials said, In order to continue providing critical emergency animal services, McKamey Animal Center will be modifying its operations beginning January 1. These changes will primarily affect our animal admissions and veterinary services departments, ensuring that we have the staff and resources to preserve critical functions and maintain the highest standards of care for the homeless animals in our facility.
