An eagerness to help others and a refusal to let barriers slow her down were the overwhelming themes of Nancy Langton s life.
The 80-year-old lost her battle with ovarian cancer on April 28 but continued
to defy the odds and inspire others right to the end.
As her daughter Jenny Langton told the Bay of Plenty Times, Nancy was a woman who refused to be put in a box.
Just months ago, in February, Nancy achieved an incredible feat. ....

Thanks to 13,000 bolts the new water reservoir in Frimley is slowly rising, part of an $82 million upgrade.
Currently, the reservoir is the highest-profile part of Hastings new water infrastructure and will hold eight million litres of treated water.
Work has started on the corner of Southampton St West and Hastings St South in central Hastings, where 10 million litres will be stored. ....

U.S. manufacturing activity grew at a slower pace in April, restrained by shortages of inputs as rising vaccinations against COVID-19 and massive fiscal stimulus unleashed pent-up demand.
The survey from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) on Monday showed record-long lead times, wide-scale shortages of critical basic materials, rising commodities prices and difficulties in transporting products across industries.

The pandemic, now in its second year, has severely disrupted supply chains. The ISM noted that companies and suppliers continue to struggle to meet increasing rates of demand due to coronavirus impacts limiting availability of parts and materials. It cautioned that worker absenteeism, short- ....
