Quesnel Council to pay more for road repairs as winter takes its toll on City roads SHARE ON: Flamingo Street (Photo provided by the City) Quesnel City Council will dip into its Capital Reinvestment Fund to pay for some unexpected repairs to four local roads. Matt Thomas is the Director of Public Works. “Abbott Drive, Flamingo/Perry Street, Wilkinson Avenue, Tingley Drive and Twan Avenue. After the winter season the above mentioned roads have broken down to a point where driver safety is a concern. Although these roads have been discussed for future repairs it became apparent that these repairs could not wait.” ....

It will cross St Laurent Avenue from Spirit Square to the Royal Bank. Councillor Mitch Vik is the Chair of the Executive Committee… “We’re very pleased that we put some work in to try and assist the Pride Society in realizing a dream or an ambition to have a pride feature in the community. It got narrowed down to a couple of features. One that was on the table for them was a crosswalk feature, and then another feature that had been discussed and is actually exciting is a mural.” ....
