Six Motorists Killed On Iowa Highways In Last Four Days
A two-vehicle crash in Tama County Monday morning left one person dead and another injured.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 73-year-old Hazel Griffith of Brooklyn was killed when she failed to stop at a signed intersection. Her vehicle collided with another vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Molly Watt of Melbourne. Watt was transported to a Cedar Rapids hospital to be treated for undisclosed injuries.
The crash happened Monday just before 7 AM at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and County Road E-66, about nine miles east of Tama.
Another deadly accident happened Monday night in Winnebago County, near Forest City. The Iowa State Patrol said 49-year-old Eugene West of Forest City died after being ejected from an all-terrain vehicle that rolled in a farm field. A second occupant, 23-year-old Jacob West of Forest City, was flown to a Mason City hospital with what authorities described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Fatal car crash in Tama county leaves one dead
TAMA, Iowa (KWWL) At approximately 6:50 a.m. Tama County police reported that a car crash has left one driver dead and has left the other driver injured.
Hazel Griffiths, 73 of Marion, failed to yield at a stop sign located at E66 and Highway 30, and upon entering the eastbound traffic of Highway 30, crashed into another vehicle.
Griffiths was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the other vehicle Molly Watt, 21 of Melbourne, was transported to a local hospital.
Currently, there has been no information released on Watt s injury statues.
