The Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (retd.), has said drug barons and traffickers in the country would smoked out of their hiding places and make made to face the wrath of the law.
Marwa said this in a statement on Sunday while reacting to the arrest of seven drug barons operating four large warehouses in Ukpuje forest, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Recall that a total of 16,344 bags of cannabis and seeds, weighing 233, 778 kilogrammes and valued at N1.4bn were seized in addition to two pump-action and one double-barrel guns. ....

Mawra Hocane’s brilliant execution of her role as a Brahmin girl in the film “Sanam Teri Kasam” has had the filmmakers still marvel about it till today.

NDLEA orders state commanders to mop up illicit drugs across Nigeria

The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohammed Marwa (retd.), has ordered the state commanders of the agency to mop up illicit drugs across the country.
He also hinted that the agency would seek government’s approval to conduct drug tests on students of tertiary institutions, security personnel and newly appointed government employees.
Marwa stated this during a meeting with commanders of the 36 states, Federal Capital Territory and special commands at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
While tasking the commanders to rid the streets of illicit drugs, the NDLEA boss also admonished them to “shape up and get all those engaged in the nefarious business to face the music, and I need results from now on”. ....

New NDLEA boss, Marwa, says 15 million Nigerians use hard drugs

Newly appointed Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brig-Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), ‎has put the number of hard drug users in the country at 15 million.
Marwa stated the figure when he assumed duty.

This development where drug use has eaten very deep into the nation’s social fabric.
“Over 15 million Nigerians of all ages are now hooked on drugs.
“It is the task of NDLEA to stop all this unacceptable nonsense of drug abuse in Nigeria.
“Together, by the grace of God, we’ll resuscitate and reposition NDLEA to full active life, to be effective, respected and feared by the concerned criminals. ....
