This week’s allocation of COVID-19 vaccine failed to arrive in Humboldt County due to a shipping error. Humboldt County Public Health worked with the state to find extra doses and found two trays or 2,340 doses of Pfizer vaccine at a medical office in Fresno County. When transporting those doses presented an additional challenge, Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims responded immediately, tasking her Sheriff’s Air Support Unit with delivery.
